The Pentagon is speaking out, and admitting it made a mistake about a McConnellsville soldier killed in Iraq...

28 year old Staff Sergeant Curtis "Tony" Mitchell was killed on Wednesday, when a roadside bomb hit his tank in Baghdad.

When Mitchell's death was first released, the pentagon incorrectly listed Evansville, Indiana, as the hometown of Mitchell.

The family has asked the Pentagon to correct the error.

And while a spokesperson for the Pentagon admits they were wrong, the Department of Defense's website still lists Mitchell's hometown as Evansville.
