Patriot Act Blues
While on the surface it appears Bush and his Republican cohorts in crime have suffered a short-term setback on his personal quest to eliminate our freedoms. After the house approved the passage of the extension of the Patriot Act, the Senate stunned the Politburo by failing to send it on the White House for a sure approval and passage. While I'm sure the battle is far from over, it appears that the attack on our freedoms finally had a minor set-back. But I can't help but have an eerie feeling, and think at what cost?

Support for the occupation of Iraq is waning. People are starting to ask questions why we have troops in over 110 countries around the world. Conservatives and Liberals alike are up in arms over the Patriot Act. Couple this with Bush experiencing his lowest ratings since taking office, and I think it is safe to say, things aren't going as Rummy and his cabal had planned. Or are they? Are we actually being set-up for another 9-11 type scenario? After all, how better to bring the fearful masses into line again?

One need not go back to far to witness how the sheeple are constantly brought into line. Let's see, in the past century we've had the sinking of the Lusitania as a rallying point for the American public and the entering of WWI. Somehow, we ignore the fact that Germany took out ads in American newspapers telling civilians to stay off that ship because it was carrying arms and explosives etc. The ship was also commissioned as a war ship by England, but we seem to ignore that as well.

Then we move into WWII, we have Japan goaded into attacking us at Pearl Harbor which is now common knowledge for those willing to review history now that we can see in black and white the memo's recently released by the FOIA.

We have ships being fired on to help bring us into the Vietnam war. One problem, we've since learned that didn't actually happen. But that didn't matter, it was a good scare tactic to rally America around the enemy we called Communism. You know that enemy that was financed by the banking cartel from New York and London.

Then came 9-11, what a boon for the freedom wreaking forces gathered on Capital Hill.

As Gary Hart told the CFR, what an opportunity to move forward` our vision of the New World Order. You know, that great organization the Bush Sr. hoisted high during the first Iraq war. The American public led by shout-out artists Rush and Sean are willing to give up all sorts of liberties in the name of safety in exchange for security.

With the success of the assorted scare tactics over the years, one can't help but wonder what is in store for the American public now that the administrations support is waning? Based on history and the gullible American people, it won't take much to send them cowering into the corner begging for Uncle Sam to strip them of any freedoms they have left. Please master, just keep us safe, master.

The amazing thing in all this is that it isn't a secret, we've been told by the enemy how they will take our freedoms. In other words, it is hidden in plain sight for all to see. Dr. Carroll Quigley wrote: "The creation of 'emergencies' is a part of the totalitarian agenda. The creation of 'emergencies' gives the government an excuse to 'crack down.' Then the creation of tyranny becomes justifiable and inevitable."

But as usual, the American conservatives and religious right has been wowed by those that speak their language. It allows them to remain in a state of complete ignorance and apathy. After all, can't have any thoughts that might make us not sleep well at night or miss Desperate housewives on T.V., can we?
