Music Industry Releases Hurricane Relief Album

As reported here and on various other outlets, musicians from all genres have participated in multiple efforts to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. November 22nd saw the release of a wide-scale recording industry collaboration, aimed to raise money and spirits of those effected by the Hurricane.
SonyBMG, Universal, Concord Music, EMI, in a partnership with RIAA will recently released, Hurricane Relief: Come Together Now. The record is a double-disc release and features some of music?s most talented singers, songwriters, producers, and emcees. All of the artists involved have performed and recorded songs free of charge, and will not see any royalties from this project, as all the money generated will go to charities geared towards Hurricane Relief.
Mitch Bainwol, Chairman and CEO of the RIAA had this to say about the album, ?The music community is proud to do its part and come together -- merging the great talent of this industry and the overwhelming desire of so many to lend a hand -- in one united effort to help the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita."
The album contains music from New Orleans-born Fats Domino, and Louis Armstrong. Artists such as Norah Jones, Coldplay, John Mayer, and Dave Matthews Band, join the likes of Hip Hoppers Wyclef Jean, Kanye West, The Game, and John Legend. Music Legends such as James Brown, and John Fogerty have also chipped in songs for the compilation.
