CIA At It Again in Venezuela - Prensa Latina

CIA At It Again in Venezuela - Prensa Latina: "CIA At It Again in Venezuela

Caracas, Dec 13 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan Parliament members denounced on Tuesday that CIA agents are again involved in action plans against Venezuela.

In their news conference, president of Venezuela's Parliament Nicolas Maduro and deputies Cilia Flores, Dario Vivas and Ricardo Sanguino revealed recorded telephone conversations from the US giving instructions for a media propaganda campaign.

Maduro explained the evidence proved the existence of CIA-financed political and terrorist organizations that have multiple-strategies for acting against Venezuela.

He said some groups were to use terrorist sabotage tactics to hinder elections on February 4, including the attack on an oil pipeline, while others failed in their attempt to hit government targets or encourage military units to rise up in arms.

Venezuela's top legislator said the plan included starting actions an hour after the last withdrawal of a political party from elections and included attacks on the Presidential Palace and the National Assembly.

The recording included conversations of Patricia Andrade, a Venezuelan living in the US and identified as covert CIA agent Patricia Suju, the niece of a retired general involved in the terrorist plan.

The conversations proved the use of the diplomatic bag of the US Embassy in Caracas for conspiracy purposes, as well as the structuring of an international campaign on alleged human rights violations.

Commenting on the evidence, parliamentarian Vivas accused US Ambassador William Brownfield of taking part in anti-Venezuelan plans and decried US authorities for bribing local political leaders to withdraw from the elections.

The deputies also urged owners of Venezuelan Globovision and Radio Caracas Television channels to explain any part in the plot prepared from the US.

Deputy Flores exposed the attempt to use coup plotters in Venezuela to give an account of alleged torture and support the attempt to shelter terrorist of Cuban origin Luis Posada Carriles.

The plan regarding Posada Carriles, whose extradition was requested by Venezuela, was to press for the release of a certain Venezuelan prisoner to make him bring false testimony before US authorities to uphold the argument that Posada Carriles cannot be handed over because he may be tortured.
