Representative Steve King (R-IA) likened immigrants to livestock as he pushed for an electrified border fence, RAW STORY has learned.
King took to the floor yesterday with a model border wall he claimed to build--complete with desert sand and wiring "to provide a disincentive for people to climb over [the wall]."
"We could also electrify this wire," King noted, "with the kind of current that would not kill somebody, but it would be a discouragement for them to be fooling around with it.
"We do that with livestock all the time.”
