MOSCOW, April 24 (Xinhua) -- China wishes to promote cooperation with Russia, especially in the economic field, Chinese State Councilor Hua Jianmin said at a science conference here on Monday.
The two-day conference, "Effective state and its role in development of Russian-Chinese cooperation", opened at the Russian Academy of Civil Service on Monday.
"The Chinese government wishes to cooperate with Russia in areas of trade, science and technology and education, " said Hua.
Viktor Ivanov, aide of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Dmity Mezentsev and Deputy Chairman of Russia's lower house of Parliament Valentin Kuptsov addressed the plenary meeting of the conference.
Hua is paying an official visit to Russia, the last leg of his three-nation tour which has taken him to Egypt and Turkey. Enditem
