ImageWare Gets $0.90 Mln Biometric Product Contract From Raytheon

Tuesday, ImageWare Systems, Inc. (IW | charts | news | Powerrating), a secure credentials software solutions provider, revealed the award of a $0.90 million contract for the supply of IWS Biometric Engine Border Management product from major defense and aerospace system contractors, Raytheon Company.

The San Diego, California-based company's IWS Biometric Engine Border Management product provides biometric enrollment, management and identification, allowing land, air and sea borders to biometrically search and match populations of unlimited sizes for identity confirmation, including verification, identification, investigative, and enrollment integrity. The biometrics includes face, single finger, livescan fingerprint and iris in identification.

The IWS Biometric Engine Border Management, based on open architecture, is scalable and technology agnostic, enabling users to employ biometric devices and algorithms over time from virtually any vendor.

IW stock closed Monday's regular trading at $1.89, down $0.05, on a volume of 37,700 shares.
